कुम्भकर्णोपदेशः
Kumbhakarna’s Counsel and War-Boast to Ravana
तदिचेन्द्राद्भयं राजन्यदि चापिस्वयम्भुवः ।ततोऽहंनाशयिष्यामिनैशंतमइवांशुमान् ।।6.63.52।।अपिदेवाश्शयिष्यन्तेक्रुद्धेमयिमहीतले ।
tad iced indrād bhayaṃ rājan yadi cāpi svayambhuvaḥ |
tato 'haṃ nāśayiṣyāmi naiśaṃ tama ivāṃśumān ||
api devāḥ śayiṣyante kruddhe mayi mahītale |
Wahai Raja, jika tuanku takut akan Indra, atau bahkan Yang Terlahir Sendiri (Brahmā), maka patik akan melenyapkan ketakutan itu seperti matahari menghapus gelapnya malam. Apabila patik murka di bumi ini, bahkan para dewa pun akan rebah tersungkur.
"O King! Give up the fear, as both Rama and Lakshmana will be made short of work in the battlefield, as also mighty Sugriva and dispose of Hanuman, the destroyer of many Rakshasas and who set fire to Lanka."
