Lalu dia memasuki istana raja Rākṣasa bagaikan matahari menembusi gugusan awan; dari jauh dia melihat abang sulungnya duduk di atas takhta, laksana Indra memandang Brahmā Yang Tersendiri bersemayam di singgahsana.
"O Bull among Rakshasas! Being my brother, do this for me. I always have affection for you. Considering that you have encountered war with Devas and Asuras and won both Devas and Asuras, do this help."
Dharma is indirectly highlighted through contrast: even a throne likened to divine majesty does not confer righteousness; moral authority depends on just action.
Kumbhakarṇa enters the palace and sees Rāvaṇa seated in state, described with lofty divine comparisons.
The verse emphasizes status and awe rather than virtue; it sets the stage for a duty-bound response from Kumbhakarṇa as a brother and warrior.
