येराक्षसामुख्यतमाहतास्तेवानरैर्युधि ।।6.62.16।।वानराणांक्षयंयुद्धे न पश्यामिकदाचन ।नचापिवानरायुद्धेजितपूर्वाःकदाचन ।।6.62.17।।
ye rākṣasāḥ mukhyatamā hatās te vānarair yudhi ||6.62.16||
vānarāṇāṁ kṣayaṁ yuddhe na paśyāmi kadācana |
na cāpi vānarā yuddhe jitapūrvāḥ kadācana ||6.62.17||
Para rākṣasa yang terunggul di pihak kita telah dibunuh oleh para vānara di medan perang. Namun aku tidak pernah melihat kaum vānara mengalami kebinasaan dalam pertempuran; dan belum pernah pula mereka didapati tewas atau dikalahkan dalam peperangan ini.
"Of the Rakshasas, the chiefs have been killed in war by Vanaras. But I did not see even one Vanara to have been killed in war. Vanaras have not failed to succeed in war."
The verse frames a Dharma-logic of outcomes: when a cause is aligned with righteousness, it gains ‘force’ beyond mere numbers, while adharma begins to lose its best supporters.
Rāvaṇa reports battlefield results: elite rākṣasas are falling, while the vānaras appear to remain unbroken and undefeated.
