अकम्पनवधः — The Slaying of Akampana
Hanuman’s rout of the Rakshasa host
एतेऽत्रबलवन्तोहिभीमकोपाश्चवानराः ।द्रुमशैलप्रहरणास्तिष्ठन्तिप्रमुखेमम ।।6.56.4।।
ete ’tra balavanto hi bhīma-kopāś ca vānarāḥ |
drumāśaila-praharaṇās tiṣṭhanti pramukhe mama ||6.56.4||
“Lihatlah, para Vānara itu sungguh perkasa, dahsyat murkanya, menjadikan pohon dan bongkah batu sebagai senjata; mereka berdiri di hadapanku. Bawalah aku ke tempat para pemimpin mereka berkedudukan.”
Those Rakshasas, endowed with prowess, on entering Lanka got together and paid respects to Hanuman.
A warrior’s dharma is to face the opposing force directly and seek the true leaders rather than striking blindly; the verse frames battle as a confrontation with responsible command.
Akampana identifies the formidable Vānara fighters and asks to be taken to the front where their chiefs are positioned.
