विभीषणोपदेशः
Vibhīṣaṇa’s Counsel to Rāvaṇa and the Rākṣasa Court
जीवंस्तुरामस्यनमोक्ष्यसेत्वंगुप्तस्सवित्राप्यथवामरुद्भि: ।नवासवस्याङ्कगतोनमृत्योर्नभोनपाताळमनुप्रविष्टः ।।।।
jīvaṃs tu rāmasya na mokṣyase tvaṃ guptaḥ savitrā ’py athavā marudbhiḥ | na vāsavasya ’ṅkagato na mṛtyor nabho na pātāḷam anupraviṣṭaḥ ||
Engkau tidak akan terlepas hidup-hidup daripada Rāma—walau dilindungi Surya atau para Marut; walau duduk di pangkuan Indra ataupun Yama, Dewa Maut. Biar engkau naik ke langit atau menyelam ke alam bawah, tiada jalan selamat bagimu.
"Give away Mythili to Rama before he releases arrows like that of thunder bolt with the speed of wind and take away the heads of the leader."
Adharma invites unavoidable retribution; the ethical call is to renounce wrongdoing rather than seek protection through power or alliances.
Vibhīṣaṇa intensifies his warning: no divine shelter or flight to any realm can save the wrongdoer from Rāma’s justice in war.
Fearless truth-speaking (satya) grounded in moral certainty, not flattery.
