Public Opinion and Royal Duty
tataḥ priyāraha-śravaṇātad-apriyaṁ paryādupaśrutya ciraṁ sā maithilī | mumoca bāṣpaṁ subhṛśaṁ pravepitā gajenadāra-hasta-ābhihatā iva sallakī ||
Mendengar daripada kekasihnya kata-kata yang pedih didengar, Maithilī menangis lama; tubuhnya menggigil hebat dan air matanya mengalir deras, laksana sulur yang dipukul belalai—tangan seekor gajah perkasa.
