Hanuman’s Offer of Rescue and Sita’s Dharmic Refusal
शोकस्यास्य कदा पारं राघवोऽधिगमिष्यति।प्लवमानः परिश्रान्तो हतनौ स्सागरे यथा।।।।
śokasyāsya kadā pāraṃ rāghavo 'dhigamiṣyati | plavamānaḥ pariśrānto hatanauḥ sāgare yathā ||
Bilakah Rāghava akan sampai ke seberang duka ini? Laksana orang yang terkapar letih, terapung berenang setelah karam di lautan.
"When will Raghava reach the shore of this ocean of grief? He is like a man who has suffered a ship wreck, trying to swim?
Dharma as steadfast endurance: even in despair, Sītā frames suffering without abandoning truth or fidelity, emphasizing patient resilience rather than wrongful shortcuts.
Sītā, held captive in Laṅkā, reflects on Rāma’s anguish and wonders when he will overcome the ‘ocean’ of sorrow caused by separation.
Emotional fortitude and loyalty—Sītā’s unwavering bond with Rāma despite prolonged suffering.
