Hanuman’s Offer of Rescue and Sita’s Dharmic Refusal
"O queen! it is enough. Give up this unworthy attitude. Be stable. O Vaidehi, rid Lakshmana and Rama of grief".
Dharma here is steadiness of mind and right resolve in crisis—rejecting unworthy despair and acting in ways that reduce suffering for others (Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa).
Hanuman, having found Sītā in Laṅkā, encourages her to abandon despair and regain mental steadiness, assuring the path toward reunion.
Hanuman’s compassion and practical wisdom (hitopadeśa) in strengthening Sītā’s courage and focusing her on righteous outcomes.
