Hanuman’s Sweet Address to Sita and Sita’s Recognition
सा तिर्यगूर्ध्वं च तथाप्यधस्तान्निरीक्षमाणा तमचिन्त्यबुद्धिम्।ददर्श पिङ्गाधिपतेरमात्यं वातात्मजं सूर्यमिवोदयस्थम्।।।।
sā tiryag ūrdhvaṃ ca tathāpy adhas tān nirīkṣamāṇā tam acintyabuddhim |
dadarśa piṅgādhipater amātyaṃ vātātmajaṃ sūryam ivodayastham ||
Dia memandang ke sisi, ke atas, dan juga ke bawah; lalu terlihat olehnya dia—berbudi yang tak terduga—Hanumān, menteri kepada raja kera yang berwarna keemasan, putera Dewa Angin, bersinar laksana matahari terbit.
"There was an illustrious king called Dasaratha in Ikshvaku race, a master of chariots, elephants and horses. He was highly meritorious and renowned.
Dharma is supported by divinely-aligned agency: truth and righteousness are aided through capable, disciplined messengers like Hanumān.
Sītā scans the area and finally perceives Hanumān, identifying him by his presence and radiance.
