राक्षसीवशमापन्ना भर्त्स्यमाना सुदारुणम्।चिन्तयन्ती सुदुःखार्ता नाहं जीवितुमुत्सुहे।।।।

Transliteration

rākṣasīvaśam āpannā bhartsyamānā sudāruṇam |

cintayantī suduḥkhārtā nāhaṃ jīvitum utsahe ||

Translation

Terjatuh di bawah kuasa para raksasi, diancam dengan kejam; hatiku dilanda fikiran resah, dihimpit dukacita yang berat—aku tidak lagi berhasrat untuk hidup.
