पल्वलानि तटाकानि सरांसि सरितस्तथा।नद्योऽनूपवनान्ताश्च दुर्गाश्च धरणीधराः।।।।लोलिता वसुधा सर्वा न तु पश्यामि जानकीम्।
palvalāni taṭākāni sarāṃsi saritas tathā |
nadyo ’nūpa-vanāntāś ca durgāś ca dharaṇīdharāḥ |
lolitā vasudhā sarvā na tu paśyāmi jānakīm ||
Aku telah mencari di mana-mana: di paya dan tanah berair, di kolam dan tasik, di anak sungai serta sungai; di pinggir rimba rawa, dan di gunung-ganang yang sukar didaki. Seluruh bumi telah diselongkar, namun aku tidak melihat Jānakī.
"I have searched for Sita thoroughly in waterlogs, lakes, tanks, streams and rivers and all over the woods and among mountains that are difficult to reach. I have searched all over the land but have not been able to find Janaki.
