Vali’s Final Counsel and the Succession Charge
युगपद्विहितं तात न मन्ये सुखमावयोः।सौहार्द भ्रातृयुक्तं हि तदिदं तात नान्यथा।।
yugapad vihitaṃ tāta na manye sukham āvayoḥ | sauhārdaṃ bhrātṛ-yuktaṃ hi tad idaṃ tāta nānyathā ||
Wahai adikku, aku tidak menyangka kebahagiaan ditetapkan bagi kita berdua serentak; kerana ikatan persaudaraan ini hanya dapat menjadi persahabatan begini sahaja, tiada jalan lain.
'O dear! I believe that both of us are not destined to enjoy the love and happiness that come together to brothers.
