तृतीयः सर्गः (Bālakāṇḍa 3): Vālmīki’s Yogic Verification and the Epic Synopsis
ऋश्यमूकस्य गमनं सुग्रीवेण समागमम् ।प्रत्ययोत्पादनं सख्यं वालिसुग्रीवविग्रहम् ।।।।
ṛśyamūkasya gamanaṃ sugrīveṇa samāgamam | pratyayotpādanaṃ sakhyaṃ vāli-sugrīva-vigraham ||
Baginda menuturkan perjalanan ke Ṛśyamūka, pertemuan dengan Sugrīva, terjalinnya keyakinan bersama dan ikatan persahabatan, serta pertikaian antara Vāli dan Sugrīva.
(He described) Rama's departure for Rishyamuka mountain, his meeting with Sugrivaand the pact of friendship with him, inspiring confidence in him and the combat between Sugriva and Vali.
Dharma in alliances rests on satya (truthfulness) and trust: friendship is not mere convenience but a pledged responsibility grounded in confidence and integrity.
