Transliteration

tasmāj jyeṣṭhe hi kaikeyi rājyatantrāṇi pārthivāḥ | sthāpayanty anavadyāṅgi guṇavatsv itareṣv api || 2.8.24 ||

Translation

Oleh itu, wahai Kaikeyī—wahai wanita yang tiada cela—para raja menyerahkan urusan pemerintahan kepada putera sulung; atau, jika tidak, kepada putera lain yang berakhlak dan berkeutamaan.
