रामदर्शनार्थं दारानयनम्
The Queens Summoned; Rama’s Leave-Taking and Dasaratha’s Collapse
फलानि मूलानि च भक्षयन्वनेगिरींश्च पश्यन् सरितस्सरांसि च।वनं प्रविश्यैव विचित्रपादपम्सुखी भविष्यामि तवास्तु निर्वृतिः।।।।
phalāni mūlāni ca bhakṣayan vane girīṃś ca paśyan saritaḥ sarāṃsi ca | vanaṃ praviśyaiva vicitrapādapaṃ sukhī bhaviṣyāmi tavāstu nirvṛtiḥ ||
Dengan memakan buah-buahan dan akar-akar di rimba, memandang gunung-ganang, sungai-sungai dan tasik-tasik—memasuki hutan yang beraneka pepohon—aku akan berbahagia. Semoga tuanku beroleh ketenteraman.
Entering the forest full of various kinds of trees I shall be happy to view the mountains, rivers and the lakes and to eat fruits and roots. (Hence) do not grieve.
Contentment in dharmic hardship: righteousness transforms exile into a disciplined, peaceful life rather than a punishment.
Rāma reassures Daśaratha that forest life will not be misery for him, asking him to be at peace.
