Mendengar kata-kata Kabandha yang berhati jahat itu, Rāma—mulutnya kering kehausan—berkata kepada Lakṣmaṇa.
On hearing the words of the evil-minded Kabandha, Rama said to Lakshmana with dried up mouth:
Dharma includes truthful recognition of peril and human limitation, yet choosing responsible action rather than panic.
After Kabandha’s threats, Rāma turns to Lakṣmaṇa to respond, with the narration highlighting the intensity of the moment.
Composure under stress—Rāma acts and speaks even while physically strained.
