जटायुवृत्तान्तः
Jatāyu’s Testimony and Rāma’s Grief
पूर्वजोऽप्युक्तमात्रस्तु लक्ष्मणेन सुभाषितम्।सारग्राही महासारं प्रतिजग्राह राघवः।।।।
pūrvajo ’py uktamātras tu lakṣmaṇena subhāṣitam | sāragrāhī mahāsāraṃ pratijagrāha rāghavaḥ ||
Walaupun sebagai abang sulung, Rāghava—yang pandai menangkap inti—sebaik sahaja mendengar kata-kata indah Lakṣmaṇa, segera menerima hakikatnya yang berat dan mendalam.
Even though Rama was elder, he could grasp the quintessence of the wise counsel only after Lakshmana had said it.
