मारीचोपदेशः — Maricha’s Counsel to Ravana
On Rama’s Dharma and the Peril of Abduction
कथं त्वं तस्य वैदेहीं रक्षितां स्वेन तेजसा।इच्छसि प्रसभं हर्तुं प्रभामिव विवस्वतः।।।।
kathaṃ tvaṃ tasya vaidehīṃ rakṣitāṃ svena tejasā | icchasi prasabhaṃ hartuṃ prabhām iva vivasvataḥ ||
Bagaimana engkau mahu merampas Vaidehī dengan paksa, sedangkan dia dilindungi oleh sinar kemuliaan dan kuasa baginda sendiri? Dapatkah sesiapa memisahkan cahaya matahari daripada Sang Surya?
You should not enter into the unquenchable fire that is Rama, the fire that has the arrows (of Rama) as its flames and his sword and bow as fuel.
