(Dalam tradisi Naskhah Selatan, ayat ini mengulang maksud sebelumnya:) Dalam pertempuran, Rama menewaskan kereta-kereta perang beserta saisnya, gajah-gajah bersama penunggangnya, pasukan berkuda bersama tunggangannya, dan infantri—menghantar mereka ke kediaman Yama, Dewa Maut.
He killed horses with golden armours yoked to the chariots along with charioteers, elephants along with riders, the cavalry along with their horses and infantry and sent them all to the abode of death.
Even in repeated transmission, the ethical point remains: righteous protection may require decisive action that ends the aggressor’s capacity to harm.
A duplicated pāṭha reiterates Rama’s destruction of the enemy’s combined arms in battle.
Consistency in duty—Rama’s unwavering commitment to end the threat is emphasized through repetition.
