Supremacy of Hari-Bhakti in Kali-yuga; Warnings on Sensual Attachment; Praise of Brāhmaṇas, Purāṇa-Listening, and Gaṅgā

हरिभक्तिसुधां पीत्वा उल्लंघ्यो भवति द्विजः । किं जपैः श्रीहरेर्नाम गृहीतं यदि मानुषैः

haribhaktisudhāṃ pītvā ullaṃghyo bhavati dvijaḥ | kiṃ japaiḥ śrīharernāma gṛhītaṃ yadi mānuṣaiḥ

Setelah meminum nektar bhakti kepada Hari, bahkan seorang dvija mampu melampaui segala rintangan. Jika manusia benar-benar berpegang pada Nama Suci Śrī Hari, apa perlunya japa yang lain?

FAQs

It presents devotion to Hari as a transformative “nectar” that enables one to cross beyond limitations, and it elevates sincere taking of the divine name as sufficient and supreme spiritual practice.

It implies that if the name of Śrī Hari is genuinely embraced, additional forms of japa become secondary—because nāma itself is portrayed as complete in spiritual efficacy.

Cultivate sincere devotion and steady remembrance of Hari’s name; inner sincerity is prioritized over multiplying rituals, encouraging simplicity, faith, and consistency in practice.
