Concept: The body is the support of dharma; without embodied life, realization of the Supreme Viṣṇu is not possible for humans.

Application: Maintain health, cleanliness, and moderation (food, sleep, speech) as spiritual discipline; treat self-care as enabling japa, pūjā, vrata, and service.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A yogic practitioner gently tends to his body—washing hands, applying sacred ash or sandal, and sitting in steady posture—while a subtle aura shows the body as a temple. In the heart-space, a small Viṣṇu icon or śālagrāma radiates, indicating realization depends on embodied practice.","primary_figures":["a disciplined dvija practitioner","Viṣṇu (as heart-vision or small shrine icon)"],"setting":"Simple āśrama courtyard with water vessel, tulasi pot nearby (optional as symbolic), and a small shrine niche.","lighting_mood":"golden dawn","color_palette":["warm ochre","clean white","turquoise","leaf green","soft gold"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: the body-as-temple theme—practitioner seated in āsana before a small Viṣṇu shrine, gold leaf highlighting the heart aura and shrine arch; rich reds/greens, ornate borders, traditional South Indian temple motifs.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: dawn in a quiet courtyard, delicate lines showing water ripples as the practitioner performs śauca; a translucent heart-lotus reveals Viṣṇu; cool pastel sky, refined facial features, gentle naturalism.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlined figure in disciplined posture, stylized water pot and shrine; heart-lotus with Viṣṇu emblem, strong reds/yellows/greens, temple-wall symmetry.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central heart-lotus motif with Viṣṇu symbol, surrounded by floral borders; below, the practitioner’s daily discipline; deep indigo background with gold and white filigree, lotus and vine patterns."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"meditative","suggested_raga":"Bhupali","pace":"slow-meditative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["flowing water","morning birds","single bell chime","quiet breath"]}

FAQs

Because ethical living, vows, charity, worship, and other dharmic practices are performed through embodied life; the body is the practical support (āyatana) for dharma.

It promotes responsible care and preservation of the body as an instrument for dharma and spiritual discipline, not indulgence for its own sake.

Protect health and life with diligence so that one can continue dharmic conduct and pursue realization of the Supreme (Viṣṇu).
