Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A palm-leaf manuscript lies open on a low wooden stand, its final line freshly inked, while a lamp flickers beside a small Viṣṇu icon. The scribe’s hand pauses in reverence as the title ‘Viṣṇu-bhakti-praśaṃsana’ seems to glow, signaling completion and sanctity of the recorded teaching.","primary_figures":["scribe (lekhaka)","small Viṣṇu icon (mūrti)","reciter (pāṭhaka)"],"setting":"Quiet temple library or āśrama study room with manuscripts, ink pot, and a tulasi pot in the background (optional, not explicit).","lighting_mood":"temple lamp-lit","color_palette":["warm amber","aged parchment beige","ink black","deep maroon","brass gold"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: a small Viṣṇu icon with gold leaf halo beside an ornate manuscript stand; rich reds and greens in textiles, gold embellishment on lamp and borders, traditional South Indian decorative framing around the colophon text motif.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: intimate indoor scene with a scribe finishing a manuscript, soft lamplight, delicate linework, muted earth tones, refined details of palm leaves and ink, calm contemplative mood.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: stylized interior with bold outlines, lamp flame and manuscript emphasized; warm reds/yellows/greens, decorative borders, simplified yet iconic Viṣṇu presence overseeing the text.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: manuscript and lamp framed by ornate floral borders and lotus motifs; a small central Viṣṇu emblem (śaṅkha-cakra) above the title, deep blue and gold accents, symmetrical textile-like composition."}

FAQs

It is a colophon: an editorial closing line that marks the end of a chapter and records its title, section (khaṇḍa), and chapter number.

Not directly. It primarily identifies the chapter as “Viṣṇu-bhakti-praśaṃsana,” indicating the preceding material praised devotion to Viṣṇu.

By explicitly naming the chapter as a “praise of devotion to Viṣṇu,” it frames the chapter’s theme as Vaishnava bhakti and helps readers locate devotional teachings within Book 3.
