vārāṇasyāṃ viśeṣeṇa gaṃgā tripathagāminī | praviṣṭā nāśayetpāpaṃ janmāṃtaraśataiḥ kṛtam

Terutama di Vārāṇasī, Sungai Gaṅgā—yang mengalir merentas tiga alam—sesiapa yang menyelami air sucinya, terhapuslah dosa yang dilakukan sepanjang ratusan kelahiran.
