पितॄणाममलं स्थानं दक्षिणादिक्प्रशस्यते । प्राचीनावीतमुदकं तिलसंत्यागमेव च

pitṝṇāmamalaṃ sthānaṃ dakṣiṇādikpraśasyate | prācīnāvītamudakaṃ tilasaṃtyāgameva ca

Bagi para Pitṛ, arah selatan dipuji sebagai wilayah yang suci tanpa cela dan paling sesuai. Dan hendaklah upacara dilakukan dengan cara prācīnāvīta, beserta persembahan air, serta persembahan biji wijen juga.
