FAQs

It describes the recognition of Haritāśva and the royal anointing (abhiṣeka) of his son Purūravas at Pratiṣṭhāna, with the Kurus participating.

Pratiṣṭhāna is presented as the site of consecration, marking it as a political-sacral center where legitimate kingship is ritually established.

The verse reflects the Purāṇic ideal that rulership is legitimized through communal recognition and sacred rite, not merely personal power—emphasizing dharma-based succession.
