ईश्वर उवाच । रक्तपुष्पै रवेर्वारे त्वर्घ्यं दद्याद्व्रती नरः । नक्ताहारं हविष्यान्नं कृत्वा स्वर्गान्न हीयते

Īśvara bersabda: Pada hari Ahad, seorang yang berikrar vrata hendaklah mempersembahkan arghya kepada Dewa Surya dengan bunga merah. Dengan makan hanya pada waktu malam dan memakan havishyānna, dia tidak tersisih daripada syurga.
