FAQs

It refers to establishing an ordered system of dharma—norms, duties, and righteous governance—so that society and cosmic order (ṛta/dharma) function harmoniously.

Sāvarṇya (Sāvarṇi) refers to a Manu associated with a specific Manvantara (an aeonic period ruled by a Manu). The verse signals a transition to describing that era.

It links the establishment of dharma with attainment of the highest goal (paramaṃ padam), implying that righteous order and duty-oriented living are pathways to supreme realization.
