The Greatness of the Gaṅgā: Purification, Ancestor Rites, and Liberation

जाह्नवीं यो गतः पुण्यां स गच्छेन्निर्जरालयम् । द्विजा ऊचुः । गंगायाः कीर्तनं व्यास श्रुतं त्वत्तो विनिर्मलम्

jāhnavīṃ yo gataḥ puṇyāṃ sa gacchennirjarālayam | dvijā ūcuḥ | gaṃgāyāḥ kīrtanaṃ vyāsa śrutaṃ tvatto vinirmalam

Sesiapa yang pergi ke Jāhnavī (Gaṅgā) yang suci, dia mencapai kediaman para abadi. Kaum dvija berkata: “Wahai Vyāsa, daripada tuan kami telah mendengar kisah yang suci tanpa noda ini, sebagai pujian bagi Gaṅgā.”
