परस्वं न हरेद्यस्तु तृणमप्यटवीगतम् । कामक्रोधादिनिर्मुक्त इंद्रियैरजितः पुमान्

parasvaṃ na haredyastu tṛṇamapyaṭavīgatam | kāmakrodhādinirmukta iṃdriyairajitaḥ pumān

Seorang lelaki yang tidak mengambil milik orang lain—bahkan sehelai rumput yang ditemui di hutan—yang bebas daripada nafsu, amarah dan seumpamanya, serta yang inderianya tidak ditundukkan oleh objek-objek, dialah benar-benar insan yang menguasai diri.
