Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"The nāgas rise with folded hands, their jeweled hoods flared not in threat but in earnest supplication. Before Brahmā’s lotus-seat they ask for borders and separate dwelling-places, as if the map of worlds is being drawn in the air between them.","primary_figures":["Nāgas (elders and emissaries)","Brahmā"],"setting":"A cosmic council space with floating tablets or scroll-like ‘laws’ implied, and faint silhouettes of emerging realms—earth above, netherworld below.","lighting_mood":"golden dawn","color_palette":["amber gold","jade green","lapis blue","ivory","cinnabar red"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: Brahmā enthroned under an ornate arch with gold leaf; nāga emissaries with gemmed hoods and folded hands; stylized ‘world-map’ motifs behind—mount Meru, layered lokas; rich reds/greens, heavy jewelry, embossed halos and borders.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: intimate court scene with Brahmā calm and attentive; nāgas rendered with delicate scales and soft green tones; pale sky wash; thin gold accents; a faint horizon showing earth and subterranean openings to suggest separate abodes.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: frontal composition, Brahmā centered, nāgas symmetrically arranged; bold outlines, patterned hoods; warm yellow background with red-green garments; temple-wall austerity conveying ‘law’ and ‘order’.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: decorative lotus borders and repeating nāga-hood motifs; central lotus throne; stylized clouds and floral vines; deep blue ground with gold highlights, symmetrical layout like a ritual textile."}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: च + एव → चैव; तथा + अस्माकम् → तथास्माकम्; पृथक् पृथक् is emphatic repetition (no sandhi).
They ask the divine authority (Deveśa) to set clear boundaries (maryādā), assign separate domains (sthāna) for humans and Nāgas, and institute a mutually binding rule or agreement (samaya).
Maryādā can mean limits, propriety, and regulated conduct—suggesting an ethical-social order that prevents conflict, not merely a territorial division.
Peaceful coexistence is sustained by clear norms, defined jurisdictions, and mutually recognized agreements—dharma expressed as structured restraint and fair settlement.
