अथोपदेष्टारमपि भक्त्या संपूजयेद्गुरुम् । वित्तशाठ्येनरहितो वस्त्रमाल्यानुलेपनैः

athopadeṣṭāramapi bhaktyā saṃpūjayedgurum | vittaśāṭhyenarahito vastramālyānulepanaiḥ

Kemudian, dengan bhakti, hendaklah seseorang memuliakan guru pemberi ajaran menurut tatacara; tanpa tipu daya tentang harta, persembahkan pakaian, kalungan bunga, dan sapuan minyak wangi suci.
