इतिहासपुराणार्थं व्यासः सम्यगुपासितः । दुदोहिथमतिं तस्य त्वं पुराणाश्रयां शुभां

itihāsapurāṇārthaṃ vyāsaḥ samyagupāsitaḥ | dudohithamatiṃ tasya tvaṃ purāṇāśrayāṃ śubhāṃ

Vyāsa, dengan tekun mengabdi pada makna Itihāsa dan Purāṇa, telah berkhidmat kepadamu dengan sebaiknya; dan engkau pula seakan ‘memerah’ kecerdasannya menjadi kefahaman yang berkat, berteraskan Purāṇa.
