FAQs

A Brahman is instructed to go to the earth together with the gods, while the speaker says he will follow afterward with his own attendants (gaṇas).

“Gaṇas” broadly means groups or attendants/retinues; in Purāṇic usage it commonly indicates a leader’s accompanying followers.

It signals a transition from a divine or celestial setting to the human realm, often marking the start of an intervention, instruction, or event meant to unfold in the earthly world.
