Narrator (contextual; not explicit in this single verse)

Application: Treat life-rites (marriage, vows, commitments) as sacred: seek wise counsel, keep integrity, and dedicate outcomes to God rather than mere social display.

FAQs

It attributes the successful completion of the marriage rite to the grace (prasāda) associated with the twice-born (dvija) and to the king’s splendor/authority (bhūpa-tejas), linked here with Lord Siddheśvara.

Siddheśvara is referenced as a divine lord (deva) in this passage; the verse associates the event’s auspiciousness with him, though further identification depends on the surrounding chapter context.

The verse reflects the Purāṇic ideal that public rites prosper when supported by both spiritual legitimacy (brāhmaṇic auspiciousness) and righteous governance (royal tejas).
