Indra’s Purification and the Limits of Pilgrimage: Four Sinners Seek Release

एवं दुःखसमाविष्टा नानातीर्थेषु वै गताः । तेषां तु पापका घोरा न नश्यंति च नंदन

evaṃ duḥkhasamāviṣṭā nānātīrtheṣu vai gatāḥ | teṣāṃ tu pāpakā ghorā na naśyaṃti ca naṃdana

Demikianlah, diliputi penderitaan, mereka benar-benar pergi ke pelbagai tīrtha; namun, wahai yang dikasihi, dosa-dosa mereka yang mengerikan tidak juga lenyap.
