FAQs

It presents reverence to one’s parents—bowing at their feet—as a hallmark of a dharmic and wise person, shown as the proper prelude to any major undertaking.

Plakṣadvīpa is one of the cosmographical “dvīpas” (island-continents) described in Purāṇic geography; here it functions as the destination of the journey, indicating a narrative movement into sacred/legendary space.

The vocative suggests the narration is being delivered to a royal listener (a king) within a larger dialogue frame, a common Purāṇic storytelling style.
