FAQs

It expresses uncertainty about a woman’s destined identity, listing several divine possibilities—Rati, Hari’s beloved, Pārvatī, or Śacī.

Rati is associated with love and is Manmatha/Kāma’s consort; Hari is Viṣṇu; Pārvatī is Śiva’s consort; Śacī (Indrāṇī) is Indra’s consort.

It highlights the Purāṇic theme that destiny and divine roles can be mysterious, and that identity may be understood through one’s future unfolding rather than immediate appearance.
