FAQs

The verse identifies Gobhila as a daityasattama—“foremost among the Daityas”—and depicts him traveling through the air and encountering the Vaidarbhī (a woman/princess from Vidarbha).

Ākāśamārga literally means “the path of the sky,” indicating movement through the air (a common Purāṇic motif for powerful beings).

It highlights her composure and courage at the moment of being seen by a powerful Daitya, marking her as unshaken despite a potentially threatening encounter.
