FAQs

Pṛthu is praised as an ideal, mighty, and wise ruler; Vena is another king referenced here as becoming knowledgeable in dharma and artha through the beneficial influence (prasāda) of merit connected with Pṛthu.

It suggests a favorable outcome or grace arising from accumulated merit (puṇya), emphasizing that virtue can yield transformative effects—personally and socially.

The verse links political power with wisdom and moral-economic discernment: true kingship is not only strength, but understanding dharma (righteous duty) alongside artha (sound governance and prosperity).
