ब्रह्मोवाच । वैदिशे नगरे पुण्ये सर्वऋद्धिसमाकुले । तत्र राजा महातेजा ऋतध्वजसुतो बली

Brahmā bersabda: Di kota suci Vaidisha, yang sarat dengan segala kemakmuran, terdapat seorang raja yang amat bercahaya dan perkasa—putera gagah kepada Ṛtadhvaja.
