तन्मे त्वं कारणं भद्रे कथयस्वाविशंकिता । एवं संभाष्यतां भार्यां विरराम द्विजोत्तमः
tanme tvaṃ kāraṇaṃ bhadre kathayasvāviśaṃkitā | evaṃ saṃbhāṣyatāṃ bhāryāṃ virarāma dvijottamaḥ
“Maka, wahai yang mulia, ceritakanlah kepadaku sebabnya tanpa ragu.” Setelah berkata demikian kepada isterinya, brāhmaṇa yang utama itu pun diam.
