तस्माच्च रक्षितो वीरो नहुषो बलिनां वरः । सत्येन तपसा तेन पुण्यैश्च संयमैर्दमैः

tasmācca rakṣito vīro nahuṣo balināṃ varaḥ | satyena tapasā tena puṇyaiśca saṃyamairdamaiḥ

Maka sebab itu, Nahuṣa sang wira—terunggul antara yang gagah—dilindungi oleh kebenaran dan tapa orang itu, serta oleh sekatan diri dan penguasaan nafsu yang penuh pahala.
