किं वा स उद्यमः श्रेष्ठः किं वा तत्कर्मजं फलम् । भाविभावः कथं नश्येत्ततो वेदः प्रतिष्ठति

kiṃ vā sa udyamaḥ śreṣṭhaḥ kiṃ vā tatkarmajaṃ phalam | bhāvibhāvaḥ kathaṃ naśyettato vedaḥ pratiṣṭhati

Sesungguhnya apakah ikhtiar yang paling utama, dan apakah buah yang lahir daripada perbuatan itu? Bagaimana mungkin sesuatu yang telah ditentukan akan terjadi dapat dielakkan? Pada perkara inilah kewibawaan Weda ditegakkan.
