धन्योयं धन्यतां प्राप्तः पितुरर्थे कृतं शुभम् । एवं संभाषितं तैस्तु भ्रातृभिः पुण्यचारिभिः
dhanyoyaṃ dhanyatāṃ prāptaḥ piturarthe kṛtaṃ śubham | evaṃ saṃbhāṣitaṃ taistu bhrātṛbhiḥ puṇyacāribhiḥ
“Berbahagialah dia; sesungguhnya dia telah mencapai keberkatan, kerana demi ayahnya dia telah melakukan amal yang mulia.” Demikianlah kata saudara-saudara itu, yang berpegang pada laku kebajikan.
The brothers (bhrātṛs), described as puṇya-cārins
Concept: Service to one’s father (pitṛ-artha) performed as a noble duty becomes a direct cause of ‘blessedness’ (dhanyatā).
Application: Honor parents/elders through tangible help and respectful speech; treat family duty as sādhana—do it without pride, with purity of motive.

It praises pitṛ-dharma—performing an auspicious, morally good action for the sake of one’s father—and calls such a person truly “blessed.”
The verse itself indicates that “the brothers” (bhrātṛbhiḥ), characterized as practitioners of merit (puṇya-cāribhiḥ), are the ones speaking.
That selfless duty toward parents—especially actions done to benefit or honor one’s father—constitutes a “śubha” deed and is a mark of genuine blessedness.
