Brahmā’s Discourse to Mohinī

Harivāsara, Desire, and the Satya-Test of Rukmāṅgada

प्रसंगे दशसाहस्रं पुण्यमायाति संक्षयम् । पुण्यस्य संक्षयात्पापी पाषाणाखुर्भवेद्ध्रुवम् ॥ १५ ॥

prasaṃge daśasāhasraṃ puṇyamāyāti saṃkṣayam | puṇyasya saṃkṣayātpāpī pāṣāṇākhurbhaveddhruvam || 15 ||

Melalui pergaulan yang tidak wajar dan keterikatan yang melalaikan, bahkan sepuluh ribu ukuran pahala pun musnah. Apabila pahala susut habis, si pendosa pasti lahir sebagai “tikus batu”, kelahiran yang hina dan jatuh.
