FAQs

It teaches that sacred bathing (snāna) at a powerful river-confluence is a prerequisite for purity, and that such a tīrtha is specifically praised as capable of destroying accumulated sin (agha-ogha).

By emphasizing purification through tīrtha-snānā, it supports bhakti as a disciplined practice: cleansing oneself before worship and sacred actions so devotion is offered with inner and outer śuddhi.

Ritual procedure (kalpa-oriented practice) is implied: one should perform snāna before undertaking rites at a tīrtha, reflecting the practical rule of preparatory purification in dharmic observance.
