शुक्लप्रतिपदादेश्च दिनानि दश संख्यया । पाताले सन्निधानं तु कुरुते स्वयमेव हि ॥ १८ ॥
śuklapratipadādeśca dināni daśa saṃkhyayā | pātāle sannidhānaṃ tu kurute svayameva hi || 18 ||
Bermula dari hari pertama bulan terang, Śukla Pratipadā, selama sepuluh hari menurut bilangan, beliau sendiri menegakkan kehadiran di Pātāla (alam bawah).
Narada (traditional dialogue frame: Narada instructing in Uttara-Bhaga tirtha/vrata contexts, often within Narada–Sanatkumara discourse)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It marks a sacred ten-day window starting from Śukla Pratipadā, emphasizing that the sanctified power or presence described in the chapter becomes accessible across realms—even in Pātāla—without external compulsion.
By highlighting a fixed sacred time-span (ten days) when divine/sacred presence is naturally available, it supports bhakti practice through disciplined timing—encouraging devotees to align worship and vows with auspicious lunar days.
It uses calendrical reckoning (Pañcāṅga-based tithi counting: Śukla Pratipadā and a ten-day duration), reflecting Jyotiṣa/Vedāṅga-style time determination for ritual observance.
