Śāpaprāpti (Receiving a Curse) — Mohinī Narrative
Suta (narrating to the assembled sages, within the Uttara-Bhaga tirtha-mahatmya frame)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: vira
The verse highlights divine intervention: higher beings, even with Brahmā, descend to awaken a person from ignorance or delusion, implying that spiritual awakening (prabodha) is a grace-filled correction toward dharma.
Though bhakti is not named directly here, the motif of “awakening” indicates turning the mind toward the divine and righteous conduct—often the prerequisite in Narada Purana narratives for later devotion, vrata, and tirtha-based worship to bear fruit.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Kalpa) is taught in this line; it functions as narrative setup for instruction (upadeśa) and dharma-correction rather than a technical rule or ritual procedure.
