साधुनिंदापराश्चैव विप्रनिंदापरास्तथा । न कस्यापि मनो विप्र विष्णुभक्तिपरं भवेत् ॥ ४८ ॥
sādhuniṃdāparāścaiva vipraniṃdāparāstathā | na kasyāpi mano vipra viṣṇubhaktiparaṃ bhavet || 48 ||
Wahai Brāhmana, mereka yang asyik mencela orang suci, dan juga yang tekun mencela para brāhmana—pada mereka, hati tidak akan cenderung kepada bhakti kepada Tuhan Viṣṇu.

It identifies sādhunindā and vipranindā as major inner obstacles: a mind habituated to contempt cannot become fit for Viṣṇu-bhakti, which requires humility, reverence, and sattva.
