Bhakti-Śraddhā-Ācāra-Māhātmya and the Commencement of the Mārkaṇḍeya Narrative

तस्मात्त्वत्तपसातुष्टो यास्यामि तव पुत्रताम् । समस्तगुणसंयुक्तो दीर्घजीवी स्वरुपवान् ॥ ९७ ॥

tasmāttvattapasātuṣṭo yāsyāmi tava putratām | samastaguṇasaṃyukto dīrghajīvī svarupavān || 97 ||

Oleh itu, kerana Aku berkenan dengan tapa (pertapaan)mu, Aku akan lahir sebagai anak lelaki mu—dilengkapi segala kebajikan, berumur panjang, dan berwujud rupa yang bercahaya lagi sempurna.
